systems available in health care today. We conduct more than 90 percent
of supplier transactions electronically via EDI or through the Internet,
resulting in streamlined communication and reduced costs across our
network. Additionally, in 1998 we completed a $100 million implementation
of an SAP R/3
® system so customers, Cardinal Health employees,
and suppliers all share one source of information to track purchases
and inventory, measure fill rates, integrate order entry, and guide
management activities.
Our entelligenceSM Internet-based tool delivers the benefits of
this integration of information to suppliers through cardinal.com.
It offers targeted decision support designed to help increase sales,
reduce costs, and improve supply-channel efficiencies. Through entelligenceSM,
you can gain a better understanding of your customers, identify
key target areas for sales growth, review service levels, and trace
sales, back orders, and inventory issues.
