Safe-T Trays from Cardinal Health provide safety solutions with Engineered Sharps Injury Protection components and needlestick protection devices. The Needle-Pro® components in Safe-T Trays are classified as Engineered Sharps Injury Protection devices in accordance with the revised OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and fully comply with NIOSH/CDC1 recommendations for procedures requiring the use of a needle.
The Safe-T Tray line includes diagnostic procedure trays for the following:
- Safe-T-LP™ for lumbar puncture
- Safe-T-Myelo™ for myelogram
- Safe-T-Centesis™ for thoracentesis/paracentesis
- Safe-T-Arthro™ for arthrogram

Portex® brand Point-Lok® freestanding protection device
This device is designed to lock onto and contain a single contaminated needle. The Point-Lok® device is used with instruments such as spinal needles for which integrated sharps injury protection technology cannot feasibly be used. The Point-Lok® device is included in the Safe-T Amnio™, Safe-T-LP™, Safe-T-Myelo™ and the Safe-T-Centesis™ trays.

Portex® brand hypodermic Needle-Pro® System
This is a combination of a hypodermic needle system and a hinged protective sheath that covers the contaminated needle upon activation using a simple, one-handed technique. The Hypodermic Needle-Pro® System fully complies with NIOSH/CDC recommendations while giving the user complete control of activation and injection of medication.
