Hemoccult® ICT Immunochemical Fecal Occult Blood Test and Components

(Beckman Coulter) Detect human hemoglobin from blood in fecal samples with this rapid, qualitative immunochemical fecal occult blood test. The Hemoccult® ICT test offers significant benefits over traditional guaiac paper tests. It is specific to human hemoglobin, which results in fewer false positive readings. An increased specificity to lower GI bleeding makes it an ideal tool to screen for colorectal cancer. The test also eliminates the need for diet and drug restrictions, which makes it easier for patients to comply with the test. The safe and noninvasive test can be performed in a physician´s office or at the patient´s home. Physician Office Kit U2315-60 includes 100 collection cards, 100 applicator sticks and physician instructions. Take-Home Kit U2315-61 includes physician instructions and 40 patient screening kits. Each patient screening kit contains one dispensing envelope with patient instructions, three Hemoccult® ICT collection cards for collection over a three-day period, three flushable collection tissues, three applicator sticks and one mailing pouch. Test Device U2315-62 includes 20 test devices, one 8.0mL bottle of Hemoccult® ICT buffer and instructions and is required to develop specimens from collection cards included in Kits U2315-60 and -61. Results are clear and easy to read. CLIA waived. Controls are also available separately.
