PROTECTIV® and PROTECTIV® Plus IV Catheter Systems

• Fully encased needle protection

(Smiths Medical ASD) These systems feature a choice of catheter materials and a fully encased needle protection design for smooth insertion. As the PROTECTIV® catheter is advanced, a built-in needle guard encases the entire needle to help protect you against accidental needle sticks. A push-off tab facilitates one-handed threading to help you keep your hand behind the needle until it is safely locked within the needle guard. A click confirms that it has been secured.

Choose PROTECTIV® catheters made of Teflon® material or PROTECTIV® Plus catheters made of Ocrilon® polyurethane. Both systems are also available with a winged hub for easier taping and securement. Catheters are color coded by gauge for easy identification. 50 catheter systems per box, 200 per case.
