ColoCARE® Fecal Occult Blood Tests

• Easier to use than traditional guaiac slide tests

(Helena Laboratories) Use ColoCARE® tests for detecting presymptomatic occult bleeding caused by gastrointestinal diseases. Easy to use, they require no stool handling, chemical developers, laboratory processing or mailing of biohazards. Simply float the biodegradable paper test pad on the water surface in the toilet bowl after a bowel movement. If detectable blood is present, the hemoglobin will react with the chromogen in the pad and a color change occurs. The test pad has three reaction sites: a large test square and two smaller control squares. Choose either the physician´s office kit, which includes three ColoCARE® tests, a patient instruction sheet, a ColoCARE® test reply card, 50 “ColoCARE® Dispensed Today” labels and instructions for medical personnel, or the hospital pack single tests.
