Cardinal Health Chamber Orchestra

The Cardinal Health Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit volunteer orchestra made up of Cardinal Health employees, members from the community, and surrounding businesses. The orchestra's purpose is to take live concert hall-style music to those that are unable to attend live performances, such as retirement communities, assisted care and Alzheimer care facilities. They also perform at elementary schools, planting the seed of music in hopes that it will grow into a life-long appreciation.

The orchestra had the privilege this year in performing 2 major pieces. The Warsaw Concerto by Richard Addinsell and a piece written by Shostakovich called The Assault on Beautiful Gorky. The Cardinal Orchestra became the first US orchestra to play the Shostakovich piece at its Premier at the Abbey Theater.
