DuPont Tyvek® material is made of 100%
high-density polyethylene that is
spunbonded without binders or fillers.
This unique process yields a lightweight,
soft, yet virtually impermeable garment
material.
Superior particulate barrier significantly more effective
at holding out the passage of dry particulates than commonly
used woven fabrics.
Resists microbial contamination laboratory tests show
that Tyvek® material is significantly more effective in
holding out the passage of microorganisms than reusable fabrics.
Greater contamination control Helmke Drum tests reveal
fabric particle release to be less than most commonly used woven
garments.
Readily sterilized Cardinal Health-manufactured Tyvek®
material garments offer special packaging and process cleaning
with a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6.
Eliminates cross contamination since Tyvek® material
is designed for single or limited-use, cross contamination is
virtually eliminated.
Strong and durable highly resistant to punctures and
tears. Reduces the possibility of contamination.
Lightweight thin and drapable for worker comfort.
Chemically and biologically inert resists liquid absorption.
Garment reprocessing recover some of the garment purchase
price and reduce disposal costs by selling used Tyvek® garments
to the DuPont authorized reprocessor, Garment Recovery Systems
(GRS).
