Snowden-Pencer® products

A tradition of innovation and excellence

We are proud to continue the Snowden-Pencer® Products tradition of innovation and excellence; a tradition begun in 1951 when Leonard Snowden introduced the surgical world to the first tungsten carbide instrument.

Diamond Jaw® was the first tungsten carbide needle holder ever created and was soon followed by Diamond-Edges® Scissors, Diamond-Points® Forceps, Diamond-Tip® Rasps and Diamond-SerEdge® Scissors.

The company continued this innovative leadership with the introduction of a combination line of instrumentation with endoscopic capabilities to accent minimally invasive surgical procedures beginning 1991 with laparoscopic surgery and continuing in endoscopic plastic surgery in 1993 and endoscopic cardiac surgery in 1996.

Continued research and development has led to the introduction of titanium instruments and other applications of hard-metal technology. We are committed to innovation!

Precise, durable and finely adjusted surgical instruments must be made by hand. This, combined with superior grades of stainless steel and titanium and an extra hard working surface, gives rise to an exceptional level of performance and longevity.
