Why did you choose Cardinal Health for your internship?
I initially became interested in Cardinal Health because of their diversity and inclusion initiatives. Having prior experience in global inclusion at another Fortune 500 Company, I fell in love with the work. Cardinal Health presented a unique opportunity to continue to discover my passion around diversity and inclusion while gaining experience in the healthcare industry.

What has been most rewarding about your Cardinal Health experience?
The people I have met at Cardinal Health continue to impress me. This truly has been a wonderful place to jump start my career. Every day I am amazed at the drive, innovation and passion behind the individuals I work with.

What is your current role and responsibilities?
As a member of the talent management team, I assist in the talent review and performance management processes.

What skill do you think was most important in helping you during your internship?
The ability to multi-task. It was not easy being a full time student while interning; however, it has taught me the ability to prioritize goals and responsibilities and identify when I need to ask for support.

What is your best internship memory?
The relationships I was able to form with those I met both within and outside of my daily responsibilities. The people in diversity and inclusion were amazing mentors to me. I also appreciated the relationships I gained by meeting individuals that I did not work with on a daily basis. Those relationships were really instrumental to me and opened many doors that advance my career here at Cardinal Health.

What is your #1 suggestion to current students looking for an internship?
Get as many internship experiences in as many different industries as you can. It is important to take the time in school to discover what industry you fit best with and where your passions best align.
