• Early responsibility: Managers are encouraged to provide interns with one substantial project to work on throughout their internship, as well as day-to-day tasks. All interns will have an opportunity to showcase their work throughout the internship and in their "End of Summer Presentation." Each intern completes a vigorous on-boarding to insure they 'hit the ground running.'

• Experience: Interns not only gain experience from their daily work but through their exposure to various facility tours, executive speakers, and community service events. These opportunities showcase the Cardinal Health company culture, as well as expand each intern's knowledge of the business and the industry as a whole.

• Networking: Interns will work side-by-side with other Cardinal Health professionals. Various opportunities for interns to meet formally and informally with senior leaders in small-group settings and to work on projects with other employees will be provided.

• Mentoring: Interns are paired with a mentor to help guide and answer questions throughout the summer. Their mentor serves as a 'friendly face' in the organization to help them transition from school to the workplace. In addition, the intern's manager will also act as a mentor.

• Feedback: In addition to daily and weekly feedback, interns will complete two performance evaluations to support their career development. Interns are expected to perform to high standards of Cardinal Health.

• Camaraderie: Did we mention fun? The program offers multiple social and teambuilding events to help interns build a solid network of peers.

Accounting/Finance Intern

As a finance intern, you will assist in the financial planning and analysis to forecast and budget the expected financial performance of the company.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of scientific principles

As a human resources intern, you will assist in the overall responsibility for implementing strategies and policies relating to the management of individuals.

As an information technology intern, you will partner with various departments to ensure the most efficient technology solutions.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Create technical documentation and specifications for single system components
