A place where pharmacists and pharmacy students can connect, ask questions, and share insights and advice to help women in pharmacy succeed in their careers and navigate the path to ownership.
Don’t just take it from us… check out these videos to hear what pharmacy owners and students have to say about Women in Pharmacy.
Showing women the way to ownership and helping established owners grow their businesses is the mission-and passion-of the Women in Pharmacy Initiative. In 2010, Cardinal Health launched this first-of-its-kind program that offers women the resources, support and inspiration they need to start, manage and grow their independent pharmacy. Women in Pharmacy connects female pharmacy students and women at every stage of their pharmacy career with a network of existing female owners. We also provide a forum for women owners to network with their peers.
To inspire, facilitate and support women's participation in and ownership of community pharmacies. We accomplish our mission through three focus areas:
- Annual Pharmacy Ownership "Boot Camp" at RBC
- College scholarships and partnerships with pharmacy schools
- Women in Pharmacy Advisory Council "Mix, Mingle, and Mocha" and other networking events
- Facebook and LinkedIn communities
- Pharmacy association partnerships
- Gathering best practices in women's health
