1. Unscrew the nut at
the handle, counterclockwise. |

3. Press the little "ball" on
a hard surface, firmly grasping the shaft with both hands,
until the insert detaches from the shaft. |

2. Open the scissor type handle,
and lift the "ball" out of the cutout area. |
 |
 |
4. Pull the insert out of the shaft. Now
you will have 3 separate pieces...a handle, a shaft and an
insert. |

1. Slide the insert into the
shaft. |
 |
 |
3. With the jaw closed and
the scissor handle open, place the "ball" into the
cutout area, and squeeze the handle shut. |

2. Notice the tongue
and groove configuration. The insert should snap firmly
into the shaft. |

4. Turn the nut, clockwise,
onto the handle. Now the instrument is ready to use. |
