Instructions to Disassemble and Assemble ENDOlap™ Instruments:

To Disassemble
wpe5.jpg (8008 bytes)  1.  Unscrew the nut at the handle, counterclockwise. wpe8.jpg (8112 bytes)  3. Press the little "ball" on a hard surface, firmly grasping the shaft with both hands, until the insert detaches from the shaft.
wpeC.jpg (5243 bytes)  2. Open the scissor type handle, and lift the "ball" out of the cutout area. wpeA.jpg (8394 bytes)  4. Pull the insert out of the shaft.  Now you will have 3 separate pieces...a handle, a shaft and an insert.

To Assemble
wpeB.jpg (8394 bytes)  1. Slide the insert into the shaft. wpeC.jpg (5243 bytes)  3. With the jaw closed and the scissor handle open, place the "ball" into the cutout area, and squeeze the handle shut.
wpe9.jpg (5879 bytes)  2.  Notice the tongue and groove configuration.  The insert should snap firmly into the shaft. wpeD.jpg (6755 bytes)  4.  Turn the nut, clockwise, onto the handle.  Now the instrument is ready to use.
