Training and development
During your first year in the program, you will be offered training
in Cardinal Health financial systems as well as common software
packages such as Microsoft® Access and Excel. Other training
and development opportunities will take place on the job. You
will also participate in workshops focusing on business acumen,
financial statement preparation and analysis, team building and
analytical thinking. Your first year is highlighted with the
chance to develop informal mentoring relationships and attend
lunches with managers from multiple businesses.
In your second year, you will build on skills learned during the
first year. You will complete case studies focusing less on base
technical skills and more on financial management and strategic
and innovative thinking abilities. You can also attend training
sessions relating to career path development, leadership skills,
presentation skills and interview skills
