Alaris® System
Integrating patient safety and ease of use
The Alaris® System by Cardinal Health is designed for infusions and patient monitoring. It helps protect the patient and clinician from consequences of medical errors and helps positively affect patient outcomes through continuous improvements in clinical practice.The point-of-care platform standardizes every type of infusion on a common user interface and adds respiratory monitoring and bar coding as needed. Also a state-of-the-art computer, it bridges the gap between IV and IT to help prevent harm and optimize care.
The Alaris® System is an integrated modular platform that consists of the following modules:
Next generation Alaris® PC unit
Provides a common user interface for programming all modules
Alaris® PCA pump module
Helps protect the patient throughout the duration of therapy with right programming and right feedback
Alaris® EtCO2 module
Brings continuous respiratory monitoring to all patient care areas with Oridion's patented Microstream® technology and FilterLine® disposables
Alaris® Auto-ID module
Attaches onto our industry-leading Alaris® System, providing bar coding capabilities and an additional safety net for all pump and syringe infusions
Alaris® Pump module
Offers set-based, free-flow protection; an LCD that displays drug, dose and rate information and channel status
Alaris® SpO2 module
Provides continuous, noninvasive monitoring of blood oxygen levels and pulse rate in adult, pediatric and neonatal patients
Alaris® Syringe module
Supports various brands of syringes from 1-60cc and accepts both standard and dedicated administration sets
